Sometimes I wonder
Is all this worth it...
I'm so busy. I stopped all free-lancing video & photo projects, deciding to concentrate on my career in the construction industry & family. But even then, I still have so little time to myself.
Take for example today (actually yesterday since it's past 12midnite), I woke up at 5.30am, sent both kids to work, dropped Fang off too, and then drove back to office. I reached office at 7.35am and worked till 8.00pm. After that I rushed off to pick up the kids from my mom's place. Grabbed a quick bite while waiting for the kids to pack their stuffs. Reached home at 9.00pm. Got the kids to bed by 9.45pm. Showered, checked emails, and started working on a report again at 11pm till 1.45am. And I'll have to wake up again at 5.30am. Even with the long hours I put in, I can't seem to clear my workload! HELP!!!
The weird part is I didn't go look for the projects, they just come. And it's so hard to turn them down. *Sigh* I don't know whether to be glad or not. Perhaps I should look into outsourcing some of the work. Either that or hire more staff. I think I need a course in time management too.
But luckily I'm not the sort to get stressed up easily. I guess listening to music while working helps. The phone calls from the kids during office hours cheer me up too. Thank God for the kids!
