My boss suddenly lost his hearing! Not total loss, but the level dropped alarmingly low. He already had problems with his left ear due to an early childhood infection. But his right ear was alright.

A week ago, he experienced sudden hearing loss in his right ear. He thought it would pass and bought an extra hearing aid instead of seeing a doctor. 3 days later he went to a ear doctor and was immediately put on a regimen of steroids. His doctor said he should have gone to see him right away. Early treatment means a better chance of recovery.

He had gone for check up today and the audiologist said there was a slight improvement. I really hope he recovers soon. Never seen him so depressed before.

So in the meantime I had to take over his projects. I'm under a lot of pressure lately. My backlogs have backlogs. My clients are generally sympathetic but they have deadlines to meet too. *sigh*
