Happy Hatch-Day, Richard Gere!

If I'm not wrong, it's Richard Gere's birthday today. Remember his Visa commercial? The one with the hundreds of birds? ...beautiful scenery.. nice plot-line.. but a bit weird.. marketplace excepts visa card? hmm...

Anyway have you wondered what that single generous gesture of the handsome tourist did to the city? Mr. Brown has the answer. (An old podcast but very enjoyable nonetheless!)

羲 Xi

Gu created a blog for Ian, my godson. Finally I see my almost-computer-illiterate-buddy putting up a really good effort in setting up the blog. Can't wait to see more pictures.
Ian's Chinese name is a terror to write! 洪承羲 goodness! that last character alone has 18 strokes!
I have not been updating my ipod recently. Last night I downloaded about 10 of Mr. Brown Show podcasts. Had a really good laugh, especially the ones about the ERP, Banned Names and Well-behaved Taxi Drivers.

Week #31

Stayed up till 1 am this morning to organise all the stuffs in our store-room and the basement bedroom. One thing about me...once I start packing, I will not stop till I done... which is why sometimes I don't want to start in the first place.

Bought a barbecue gas grill last weekend. It's got features like 3-gas burners, a built-in thermometer, electric ignition, adjustable heat controls and it uses lava stones. Well.. again it's one of those impulse buys. Come to think of it... the grill is nothing but a outdoor gas-stove. We went to this bbq mart on Sunday, thinking of buying a simple, humble bbq pit that uses charcoal. But were talked into getting this model ...err.. I can't even remember what brand it is (told you it was an impulse buy). That sales lady is good! Anyway delivery is this evening and we'll take our cooking outdoor this Saturday.

All that grilled stuffs will not be good for me.. for my weight. I met a couple of old friends yesterday at Rocher beancurd stall. They both said I've put on quite a bit of weight. My bathroom scale has been telling me that too. Hubs said I shouldn't be skipping meals or doing crash diets because of the yo-yo effect. What yo-yo effect? Yo-yo goes up and down, up and down. My weight is more like superman.. Up up and away!! I got to do something about it before it really runs away. Hubs is helping me set up the indoor-trainer for my very-under-used-road-bike tonight. Guess I better start exercising again.
Wish me luck!
